Casa da Fonte

Located in the heart of the beautifully green and scenic Minho region of North Portugal (map), the property known as Casa da Fonte is comprised of a 3 bedroom traditional granite farmhouse and one bedroom cottage or Casita. The accommodation, built in 1868, surrounds a cobbled courtyard, leading to a private swimming pool, all set amongst terraces of vines and gardens which have magnificent views over a forested valley to the mountains beyond.

The farmhouse and cottage can be rented together as a private villa sleeping 8 or as separate units. When rented separately the pool, games room and laundry facilities are shared.

About the owner

I moved to Northern Portugal in 2005 having been impressed by the wonderful scenery, pleasant climate and friendly people of the Minho region. The opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, a laid-back lifestyle and low cost of living all contributed to the decision to move. Besides maintaining the property and gardens, I also offer guided walks and mountain bike rides in the local area.
